Seven of our BA Public Health students who will be graduating this month presented their Applied Learning Experience final projects and five students presented their Applied Learning Experience proposals at the Spring 2016 Honors Showcase on Friday, May 6, 2016. 

Congratulations to BA Public Health students Sasha Madan and Chevelle Davis for their First Place and Honorable Mention awards in the completed project, Social Sciences category at the Honors Undergraduate Showcase on May 6, 2016!

Congratulations to B.A. Public Health students Abigail Sy, Michelle Tong, and Sally Voss for their great accomplishments at the Undergraduate Honors Showcase this May. Within the Social Sciences category, Sally Voss placed first in oral presentations of project proposals for her project on “Diabetes Awareness and Prevention Among At-Risk Adults in Nanchang, China," and Michelle Tong received an Honorable Mention for the oral presentation of her project proposal on “Effects of Health Literacy on Cardiovascular Disease in Chinese Americans.” Abigail Sy received the first place prize for poster presentations in Social Sciences for her project proposal, “Underrepresented Ethnicities in the Physician Workforce: Filipinos in Hawai‘i.” Congratulations to these outstanding students for their excellent representation of undergraduate public health!
