Pursuing a graduate program in public health at UHM is an opportunity to engage with and learn from a dedicated group of faculty, staff, and students.

Step 1 – Do your research
Before you apply, carefully review the degree programs and specializations to find the program that’s right for your interests. Review our website and program information download on the right side of this page for a full list of options.

Step 2 – Pay attention to the deadline
Your applications and supporting documents should be received by the application deadline. Allow plenty of time for transcripts, official test scores, and reference letters to arrive. Applicants should be aware that they must submit application materials to two separate offices – UHM Graduate Division and the Program.

Step 3 – Know the application requirements
Review our admissions page and application for a list of required application materials.

All materials, including test scores should be received by the late application deadline. Please read the public health application for instructions on how to submit your application.

The following programs will be accepting late applications for Fall 2025 admissions:
-Epidemiology (MPH, MS, and PhD programs) through January 15
-Health Policy & Management (in-person MPH program) through January 15
-Native Hawaiian & Indigenous Health (MPH program) through January 15
-Social & Behavioral Health Sciences (MPH program) through January 15

Asynchronous online MPH (Health Policy & Management) Fall 2025 application deadline is March 1
