“Pathways to Learning: Supporting Pakistan’s Out-of-School Children” with Ms. Kiran Peter, and moderated by José Barzola
Join us to learn about the Weaving People to Grow Foundation that initiated a Non-Formal Education Centre in 2023 to educate children and also give them peace education. In Pakistan the number of out-of-school children is alarmingly increasing particularly after COVID-19 and the deadly floods in 2022.

Annual Meeting and Interactive Keynote Address “Mediation: Evolution or Revolution?” with Judge Riki May Amano (Ret.)
Conflict Resolution Alliance (CRA) is pleased to welcome Judge Riki May Amano (Ret.), who will share musings throughout her more than forty years of mediation morphing. Judge Amano has has been a trained mediator since 1982. She was an arbitrator at the inception of the Court Annexed Arbitration Program in 1986 and served as the program’s Arbitration Judge from 1994-2003. She has provided facilitation services for community groups and professional associations. Judge Amano served as a judge in the district and circuit courts of the Third Judicial Circuit, State of Hawaii from February 1992 until April 2003. Judge Amano was a deputy attorney general from 1979-1981 and in private practice from 1981 until 1991. She has been included in The Best Lawyers in America from 2007-2022 and in 2012 was selected as Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year in Mediation, Honolulu, Hawai`i.
