(7 seconds)

I know that there’s a lot of people that are flying drones throughout the entire state. Some of them may have just opened up their package and don’t know much about how to fly them.

(6 seconds)

Is just a way to try and educate those folks on how to properly use drones or UAS.

(22 seconds)

If you open up your drone for Christmas and you want to fly it and you’re afraid of flying it in an area that you’re  going to get in trouble for, you’re afraid of crashing it into a tree cause you’ve never flown anything like this before just coming out here, and at least having a space to fly safely fly legally and have people out here who know how to fly who can give you various instructions and tips I think is really beneficial.

(11 seconds)

‘Cause I know when I was first flying, I was flying it in a park somewhere and it just took a long time for me to figure out all the different strings, small nuances that I was going through to make myself a very competent pilot.

(10 seconds)

But having other folks to come and, you know, at least teach me how to do it would have been a really great help, so anything we can kind of help increase the capabilities and competency of people flying out here in Hawaiʻi would be great.
