KĀNE‘OHE (August 22, 2013) – The University of Hawai‘i Board of Regents has approved Cynthia Quinn as its Executive Administrator and Secretary of the Board of Regents during its meeting today at Windward Community College.

“Cyndi Quinn will bring a wealth of experience to the Board and will make a significant contribution to the work of the Board,” Board Chair John Holzman said. “The Regents really look forward to working with her.”

Ms. Quinn is currently a faculty specialist with the UH William S. Richardson School of Law. She most recently served as the Interim Associate Dean for Student Services with the School of Law. In that capacity, she was responsible for the oversight of the student services program including professional development, counseling, orientation, graduation and other related student programs. Prior to that, Ms. Quinn served in a faculty position as the Director of Communications and External Relations for the School of Law.

Ms. Quinn, who enjoyed an 18-year law career in both private and public sectors prior to joining the School of Law, earned her Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and an Associate of Arts degree in the legal assistant program from Kapi’olani Community College.

Ms. Quinn’s appointment will be effective Sept. 1, 2013.
