Orders being accepted for Focus on Agriculture Cookbook

Orders for the Ag 194 V, Focus on Agriculture cookbook are now being taken at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo's College of Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resource Management (CAFNRM).

The cookbook was produced using recipes featured during the Spring 2001 semester's Thursday night television cooking class hosted by Dr. Jack Fujii. Chefs and other personnel from restaurants throughout Hawaiʻi were invited to prepare various dishes using locally produced agricultural products. The cookbook contains recipes for a wide variety of ethnic entrees served up by guests on the program, along with recipes contributed by students enrolled in the course.

The cookbook will be available for purchase and shipping in June. The cost per copy for Big Island residents is $12, and can be mailed statewide to interested individuals for $15 a copy, which includes shipping and handling. Checks should be made payable to UH Hilo and sent to Dr. Jack Fujii, UH Hilo College of Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resource Management, University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, 200 West Kawili Street, Hilo, HI 96720-4091.

Cookbooks from previous semesters are also available. Anyone interested in acquiring copies of the current or previous editions may call 974-7393. Order forms will be mailed upon request, which can also be made by fax at 974-7674.
