Finalists for new Director and Publisher for University Press announced

Two finalists have been identified for the position of Director and Publisher of the University Press at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.  The two are scheduled to participate in a two-day period of visits that covers Press department discussions; meetings with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, and members of their respective professions; and a public presentation.

 

Campus and community members, as well as the general public, are encouraged to attend.

 

The campus visits of the two candidates have been scheduled as follows:

 

“The Search Advisory Committee has done an excellent job of identifying a pool of highly qualified candidates,” said Chancellor Tom Apple. Added Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Reed Dasenbrock, “The University Press is known all over the world for the quality of its books and journals and plays a crucial role in the reputation of the University for Asian and Pacific studies. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bill Hamilton for his capable leadership of the Press for the past 25 years and to wish him well on his retirement.”
