HONOLULU - The University of Hawaiʻi's 10 campuses will be closed to the public during the winter break from Dec. 20-31, 2010. The closures are in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and to recover energy savings to meet the budget shortfall.

Friday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 31, are state holidays and all offices will be closed on those days.

Certain critical or time sensitive functions or specialized facilities, such as research laboratories, may continue to operate. Athletic events at UH Mānoa and UH Hilo will also be held as scheduled.

More details and specific information on how the closures may affect individual campus functions and activities are available online at http://www.hawaii.edu/news/closures.html.
