The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Performing Arts Center presents Patrick Ball: The Modern-Day Bard, on Thursday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. Ball is one of the world’s premier Celtic harp players and captivating spoken-word artist who has won both national and international awards for his recordings.

Variety described Ball’s performances as “hauntingly beautiful ballads and lilting storytelling,” and the Washington Post said Ball conjures up “a graceful and often bittersweet evocation of the past.”

Tickets are $10 for reserved seating, $7 general admission and $5 for UH students and children, available at the Performing Arts Center’s Box Office, Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tickets are also available by calling 974-7310 or online at http://artscenter.uhh.hawaii.edu.
