UH Hilo students set sail

Four University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo students set sail from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada on Friday, August 27, as participants in the Semester at Sea program.

Rachel Cabanilla, a junior marine science major, Bria Calloway, a senior anthropology and performing arts major, Kaipo Dye, a sophomore sociology and agriculture major, and Nicole Pasalo, a junior psychology major, will drop anchor in 11 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa before returning to the United States. Each received a $13,437 scholarship from The Institute for Shipboard Education.
