Dr. Terry Shintani, physician, lawyer, creator of the Waianae diet and author of the best-seller The Waianae Book of Hawaiian Health, is the keynote speaker at the 2010 Pulama I Ke Ola Healthcare Conference, May 21 and 22 on the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo campus. The theme of his presentation is “Reverse Disease in 10 Days.”

The conference theme is “Ke Ola Pono — Balancing Physical, Mental and Spiritual Health.” The multidisciplinary conference combines a professional program and a youth program for high school students considering a healthcare career. The focus is on current research and clinical practices that integrate holistic health concepts to improve health care, with special attention to health issues in Hawai‘i.

There is a fee and UH Hilo housing is available to those from out-of-town.
