High school students vie for prizes in UH West Oahu's annual flyer contest

Hawai‘i high school students are invited to put their creativity to the test by entering UH West O‘ahu’s Third Annual Flyer Contest. Selected finalists will win one of five iPod video Nanos. Designs promoting UH West O‘ahu as a top choice for college-bound students are due by Feb. 1.
 
Online voters and a panel of judges will select a grand prize winner from the top five finalists at uhwo.hawaii.edu/flyercontest in April. The winning design will be published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek and the grand prize winner will receive an Amazon Kindle. Key Dates:
  • Feb. 1, 2010 – Deadline for flyer designs to be submitted
  • Feb. 15-26, 2010 – Best five designs selected, finalists each receive iPod video Nano (8GB) player (at minimum, one finalist will be from a neighbor island school)
  • March 8-22, 2010 – Online review/voting begins for grand prize winner
  • April 2010 – Grand prize announced; winner to be presented Amazon Kindle digital reader
  • April 2010 – Grand prize winner’s flyer published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek
 
Entries should be submitted with the student’s full name, school, grade level, phone number and email address.
