UH Hilo offers Chinese culture summer tour
University of Hawaiʻi at HiloThe University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo and Peking University are co-sponsoring the 22nd Summer Institute in Chinese Thought and Chinese Culture. The program includes lectures on Chinese culture as well as field trips to Tibet, Mongolia and various historical centers in China, led by Dr. John Hsueh-Li Cheng, professor of philosophy at UH Hilo.
Cheng, the author of numerous books and countless articles, is in Seoul, South Korea this month for keynote speeches at a joint conference sponsored by Seoul National University and National Taiwan University and the Institute of Confucian Philosophy and Culture of Sungkyunkwan University.
