There is still time to apply for the fall 2008 semester at the University of Hawaiʻi-West Oʻahu (UHWO). For recently dislocated workers and high school graduates, this is an opportunity to pursue a career-focused, four-year degree in West Oʻahu. The fall admission application deadline is August 1 with classes beginning on August 25. Financial aid and scholarship opportunities are still available.

UHWO academic programs stress the exploration of interdisciplinary studies, cross-cultural and international studies and communication skills. The university provides a variety of baccalaureate degrees designed to serve the state‘s workforce needs. In addition to many other quality programs, UHWO offers a Bachelor of Education degree with a concentration in Elementary Education to address the state‘s teacher shortage and equip future educators with the knowledge and training to pursue careers in education.
