UH Manoa to hold 20th annual CTAHR Student Research Symposium
University of Hawaiʻi at MānoaHONOLULU - The College of Tropical Agriculture (CTAHR) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa will hold its 20th annual Student Research Symposium on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, in the Agricultural Science Building on the Mānoa campus. This year‘s symposium will feature more than 90 posters and oral presentations from undergraduate and graduate students representing all six departments in CTAHR.
The symposium provides students with the opportunity to present their scholarly work in a friendly, yet professional setting similar to national and international conferences. The Symposium also serves to promote cooperation and collegiality among CTAHR and faculty and students from UH Hilo‘s College of A griculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Mangement (CAFNRM).
"The scientific exploration conducted by students in CTAHR and CAFNRM is truly multidisciplinary, and the Student Research Symposium reflects this diversity," said CTAHR Dean Andy Hashimoto. "All stages of the research and development process and student learning experiences are represented. Each project represents a unique path that contributes to CTAHR‘s mission by fostering viable communities, a diversified economy, and a healthy environment."
