MORE INFORMATION:

  • Signage will be in place, and traffic modifications are planned to mitigate possible traffic backups.
  • Motorists are advised to be extra vigilant along Dole Street and University Avenue due to increased pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic activity, lane closures and frequent stopping or slowing of cars.
  • For students moving into on-campus housing facilities, there is a new check-in process to create a more seamless experience for student residents and to alleviate traffic:
    • On Tuesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 16, the check-in process will start at the Stan Sheriff Center before proceeding to Lower Campus Road, Dole Street and East-West Road to their housing units.
    • On Friday, August 18, students will utilize the drive-thru check in location on Lower Campus Rd near the Air Force ROTC building before proceeding to their housing units.
    • Student residents are asked to come to campus at their assigned check-in time period to prevent check-in backlogs and traffic delays.
      • Those who arrive early will not be released to go to their building until their assigned move-in time.
  • For students moving into the RISE housing facilities on University Avenue:
    • Student residents are asked to arrive at their assigned scheduled check-in time period to prevent traffic delays.
