MovieTalk segments

“MovieTalk” involves using an image or a videoclip that doesn’t have much (or any) dialogue, to provide the background visuals for “talking over” it, using language you want the students to hear. The narration can be provided by the teacher or eventually by the students.

The YouTube channel Little Fox Chinese has stories and songs for learners. The following is one example.

My finger family 手指家庭. Teaches 爸爸、妈妈、哥哥、妹妹、and 宝宝 using a tune that will stick in your head. 2.02 minutes.

• 小橙子is a rambunctious toddler who is the light in the eyes of his doting parents. His mother films his adventures and comments on some of them. 7.06 minutes
