The Innovation and Impact Showcase features short videos of innovative and high-impact teaching practices at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM). The videos are supplemented with supporting materials such as faculty’s syllabi, assignments, sample student work (published with consent), evaluation tools, and reflection on and evidence of the impact on students’ learning.
The Showcase was initiated in fall 2020 by multiple faculty-support units at UHM, including the Assessment and Curriculum Support Center, the Center for Teaching Excellence, the Office of Vice Provost for Academic Excellence, the General Education Office, and Technology and Distance Programs. This collaborative initiative aims to generate a repository not only to celebrate innovative teaching practices at UHM but a source of inspiration for all of the UHM community.
Project Goals
- To inspire faculty to adapt and adopt innovative teaching practices with high impact.
- To showcase educational innovations that positively impact student learning.
- To communicate to the UHM and broader communities the educational excellence at our institution.
