Welcome to the Academic Year Housing Application Questionnaire
To help you get started, please read each question carefully and answer accurately.
This will help us guide you to the correct application based on your eligibility and housing options.

Are you currently a UH Mānoa student (2024-25 academic year) or have you been a UH Mānoa student previously (prior to the current academic year)?
Step 2b
To apply, you will need a valid UH ID number (your 8-digit identification number that appears on your acceptance letter).
Step 2c
Did you graduate from high school in December 2024 or later?
Step 3
You will be completing Part 1 of the Academic Year 2025 - 2026 Application for FRESHMEN
Part 1 Application Deadline: May 1
Please read carefully before proceeding with your application:
- Applications will not be processed until the non-refundable $25 application fee is paid. You may use a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, or Union Pay to pay the $25 application fee.
- Make sure that uhmsh@hawaii.edu is in your safe email lists so that it doesn't get marked as Spam or Junk Mail.
- Prior to starting your application, be sure to review information about hall choices, hall room-types and residential learning programs. The application provides an opportunity to specify preferences in these areas.
- If you need disability accommodations, please contact the KOKUA office. More information can be found on our disability accommodations page.
- Once the application is submitted, with or without payment, it cannot be changed online. Changes may be made by contacting the housing office.
- Set aside 30 minutes to complete this application. The application process will time out after a period of inactivity. Information will not be saved.
- Part 2 of the application is required for all on-time applicants who complete Part 1 and the University’s partial tuition deposit by May 1. Instructions for Part 2 will be emailed to eligible applicants on May 5, 2025, and must be completed by May 12, 2025, 11:59 PM HST. Applications will be canceled if Part 2 is not submitted by the deadline.

You will be completing the Academic Year 2025 - 2026 Application for NON-FRESHMEN (CURRENT/RETURNING STUDENT)
Application Deadline: April 1
- Applications will not be processed until the non-refundable $25 application fee is paid. You may use a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, or Union Pay to pay the $25 application fee.
- Make sure that uhmsh@hawaii.edu is in your safe email lists.
- Review hall choices, hall room-types and residential learning programs before applying.
