Antonino is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests encompass corporate governance, political economy, and social network analysis. His research focuses on the relationships among individuals, private firms, and local governments. He is an art enthusiast and actively participates in long-distance running competitions, including marathons.


Helena is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on worldwide corporate tax policies and disclosure mandates introduced in the past decade that may affect firms’ tax planning, tax efficiency, and real economic activities. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, travelling, trading stocks, and painting.


Haizhu is a second-year PhD student in accounting at the University of Southern California. Her research focuses on performance evaluation, incentive design, and corporate governance. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with her cat. She recently discovered a love for bouldering.


Joo-hyun Lee is a third-year Accounting Ph.D. candidate at Korea University. Her research interests include audit effectiveness and quality, especially researching determinants and consequences of audit quality. She is also interested in the area of capital markets with a focus on analyst forecasts. In her free time, Joohyun likes running, traveling, and listening to classical music.


Yinzhi is a fourth-year PhD student at the University of Rochester. Her research interest focuses on corporate governance and information disclosure, particularly how firms and other stakeholders adjust their behaviors in response to regulatory pressure, peer shocks, and shifts in market expectations or institutional environments. Outside of research, she enjoys cooking, baking, swimming and traveling.


Eashwar is a fourth-year PhD student at the University of Florida. His research interests include corporate tax enforcement, professional labor markets, and information asymmetry in corporate regulatory environments. He is interested in using new technologies to develop novel datasets to study classic questions in accounting research. In his free time, Eashwar enjoys Indian cinema, cricket, SEC football and spending time with his wife and cat.


Mariam Hilda Ola is a fourth-year PhD student in Accounting at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business. Her research focuses on taxation and financial reporting, with an interest in how policy changes impact corporate behavior and household welfare. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing music, singing, and exploring new restaurants.


Jeonghu is a fourth-year PhD student in Accounting at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). His research focused on corporate sustainability, particularly within the context of financial accounting. Methodologically, he is interested in applying techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative large language models (GLLM) to uncover unique insights and design innovative research frameworks. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching Netflix, and playing a variety of sports, including soccer and table tennis.


Konstantin is a third-year Accounting PhD student at Harvard University. His main research interest is the use of structural estimation to study voluntary disclosure, disclosure regulation, and standard setting. He is particularly interested in private firms and innovation-related phenomena. Outside of academia, Konstantin enjoys playing chess, working out, and ambitiously — perhaps unrealistically — hopes to complete a full Ironman race before finishing his PhD.


Aatu is a second-year PhD student in Accounting at Aalto University. His research focuses on accounting quality in small private companies, with a particular interest in developing new methods to detect financial reporting errors and in examining how the characteristics of accountants and entrepreneurs shape reporting outcomes. Outside of research, he is active as an entrepreneur, running an accounting firm.



Emile is a second-year PhD student in Accounting at HEC Paris. His research focuses on non-financial disclosure by private firms, and is also interested in textual data analysis and its applications to accounting. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys running and wine tasting.


Yuqi is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include information intermediaries, banking, disclosure regulations, and emerging technologies. In her spare time, Yuqi loves playing the piano, going to J-Rock live shows, traveling, and riding roller coasters. 😀


Sophy is a third-year Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests center on the design of performance measurement and incentive systems, as well as employees’ career choices and well-being. She is also passionate about using creative techniques to build novel datasets. In her spare time, Sophy enjoys swimming, hiking, and cooking.


Tao is a third-year Ph.D. student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests focus on the real economic consequences of accounting information, particularly labor-related issues. In his free time, he enjoys solving the Rubik’s Cube, reading, and exploring cities on foot.


Yiyang is a third-year Ph.D. student in Accounting at Bocconi University. His research examines voluntary disclosure, financial analysts, and capital markets, with a particular focus on how managerial communication influences market participants’ information processing and valuation. In his free time, he enjoys photography, hiking, and cooking.


Shuai is a third-year PhD student at Singapore Management University. His research focuses on financial reporting and the corporate information environment, with a particular interest in how institutional settings and communication channels shape information asymmetry and market outcomes. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hiking, running, working out, and playing tennis, as well as exploring new food experiences in his daily life.


Derin is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Accounting at INSEAD. His research focuses on corporate governance, in particular how institutional investors engage with portfolio firms and exercise their voting power on issues such as climate change. He also explores how tax incentives shape corporate governance. Outside of academia, he enjoys managing his stock portfolio, playing tennis, and watching arthouse cinema.


Jason (Zhenghao) is a 4th year PhD candidate at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. His research interests include bank failures, debt contracting, audit, and regulation. Beyond his academic focus, he enjoys following research of many kinds in everyday life. He also finds creativity through photography, skiing, and hiking.
