The special room rates will be honored for guests arriving a few days before or extending their stay a few days after the conference dates. A credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee each reservation.

Hotel cancellation Policy: Reservations canceled up to 4 days before arrival incur no penalty; later cancellations incur a one-night room and tax charge.

Since we have secured heavily discounted rates for HARC 2027 participants, the reservation options for this hotel depend on your planned dates of stay:

Staying January 3 and/or 4 (check-out January 5):
Using the reservation link, you may choose between the $189 or $219 nightly rates (plus taxes).

Staying January 2, 3, and 4 (check-out January 5):
Using the reservation link, only the $189 nightly rate (plus taxes) is available.

The hotel has also provided a grace period of three days before and after the conference, during which the conference rate may still apply. If you would like to book within this grace period, please make your reservation first (using the options above), then email your confirmation number to itohn_res@hilton.com to request the date extension.

Please also note the following hotel policies:

Early Departure Policy: Guests who depart earlier than their scheduled check-out date will be charged one night’s room rate plus applicable taxes and fees.

Cancellation Policy: Reservations must be canceled by 11:59 PM (local hotel time) on December 30, 2026 to avoid cancellation penalties (one night’s room rate plus applicable taxes and fees).

A very limited dorm rooms at UH Hilo’s Hale Kauanoe are available for $39 per night on a first-come, first-served basis. Each room accommodates up to two guests (twin beds) in gender-separated wings.

Please note that bathrooms are shared, and rooms are cooled by jalousie windows (no A/C).
