Mark T. Bradshaw

Mark Bradshaw is Professor and Chair of the Accounting Department at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Professor Bradshaw was an Editor at The Accounting Review 2014-2020, is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Accounting and Economics and Management Science, and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, The Accounting Review, and the Journal of International Accounting Research. His research focuses on financial reporting, particularly how capital market participants like sell-side analysts and investors interpret and use information from various sources, such as financial statements, management disclosures, economic indicators, and the financial media. His dissertation was awarded the American Accounting Association Competitive Manuscript Award, he has been recognized with awards for teaching, service, and refereeing, and he has presented at over 200 invited research presentations and discussions. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan and B.B.A. and M.Acc. degrees from the University of Georgia.

John Campbell, Professor and J.M. Tull Chair in Accounting Ph.D. Program Director & the Ernst & Young Faculty Fellow in the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia

John Campbell

JOHN L. CAMPBELL, PhD, CPA is a Professor and the J.M. Tull Chair in Accounting, the PhD Program Director, and an EY Faculty Fellow in the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Finance (with honors) and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from Wake Forest University, and a PhD in Management (Major in Accounting, Minor in Finance) from the University of Arizona. Dr. Campbell’s research examines capital market consequences of accounting and tax information, and generally has implications for financial market regulations. His research is published in top accounting and finance journals, including The Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting. His research has been presented across North America, as well as in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Dr. Campbell is an editor at Contemporary Accounting Research, and serves on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review, the Review of Accounting Studies, the Journal of Financial Reporting, and the Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting. He has been invited to consult with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) multiple times, and has twice served on the American Accounting Association (AAA) committee that provides comment letters on behalf of the AAA on standard setting issues.

Michelle Hanlon, the Howard W. Johnson Professor and a Professor of Accounting at the MIT Sloan School of Management

Michelle Hanlon

Michelle Hanlon is the Howard W. Johnson Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her research focuses on taxation and the intersection of taxation and financial accounting. She has published in the top accounting and finance journals, among others. She has won several awards for her research including the AAA Distinguished Contribution to the Literature Award, the Outstanding Manuscript Award for the ATA, and her dissertation won the Best Dissertation Award from both the ATA and FARS. Michelle has taught introductory and intermediate financial accounting and currently teaches Taxes and Business Strategy. She is a co-author on three textbooks. She has won several awards for her teaching including the Sloan Outstanding Teacher Award, the MIT Teaching with Digital Technology Award, and the Jamieson Prize for Excellence in Teaching.
She has been an editor at the Journal of Accounting and Economics since 2009. Michelle has testified in front of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee and the U.S. Senate Finance Committee both twice. She worked as an Academic Fellow at the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee for part of 2015. She currently serves on the Tax Expenditure Commission for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Michelle earned her PhD at the University of Washington.

Clive Lennox, A Chair Professor at the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California

Clive Lennox

Clive Lennox is a Chair Professor at the University of Southern California. His research interests are in auditing, fraud, earnings quality, voluntary disclosure, and empirical methodology. He has published more than twenty articles in the top-tier accounting journals (JAE, HAR, TAR) and has received numerous prizes including the Notable Contribution to the Auditing Literature Award from the American Accounting Association. Clive is an editor at Contemporary Accounting Research and an associate editor at the Journal of Accounting and Economics and the Journal of Accounting Research.
