Paper Submissions

HARC has subscribed to an online conference management system, EasyChair, to facilitate the paper submission and review process. In order to submit your paper for consideration, you will have to create an EasyChair account, unless you have one already.

For information about paper submission requirements, please see the information below. If you have any problems, please contact us via harc@hawaii.edu.

Please read through the following instructions before submitting your paper.

  1. Paper Preparation
    • Prepare your initial paper using the APA style or Chicago style.
    • Do not list authors’ names on the paper submission as we use a double-blind paper evaluation process.
    • Be sure the paper contains original material. Papers should not have been published previously.
  2. Submission
    • Submit your paper as a PDF by clicking via EasyChair.
    • Paper submission deadline is August 15, 2025.
    • Starting with HARC 2025, we will reject papers from authors of accepted papers who have not presented and withdrew their papers two times.
  3. Decision
    • Acceptance/rejection notifications will be sent out by October 5, 2025.
    • Please contact us at harc@hawaii.edu immediately if you don’t receive your notification by October 5, 2024.

HARC provides a link for accepted papers in its proceeding. These electronic versions are not searchable and only those who have access to the program are able to access them. We believe that it is important to provide the participants the ability to read your paper before your presentation. By doing this, we avoid issues with some journals who required removal of online version(s) of the research papers. By submitting your paper for consideration, you agree to post your paper in HARC program.

Instruction on how to present poster session papers will be provided when the conference program is finalized.

Track chairs ensure each submitted paper is reviewed by at least two qualified researchers who are active in the corresponding topics. The final decisions on accepting or rejecting a paper will be made by the track chairs and will be communicated to the author by the conference staff.
