HARC 2020 – Shuttle and Local Transportation

HARC-2020 Shuttle Services

The Shuttle bus has a seating and standing capacity of about 28 individuals. It will have a small sign indicating that it is HARC Shuttle. The Conference Hotels staff have been notified about the Shuttles and should be able to direct you to where the Shuttle is waiting for you.

Tentative Schedule:

January 3rd:
To HARC:

  • From: Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, To: UH Hilo campus.
  • Shuttle will start at 7:15 a.m. and run every 5-7 minutes until 9:15 a.m.

To hotels:

  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from UH Hilo to the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo.

January 4th:

To HARC:

  • From: Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, To: UH Hilo campus.
  • Shuttle will start at 6:15 a.m. and run every 5-7 minutes until 8:15 a.m                

To hotels:

  • 5:00 p.m. from reception to the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo (in case of sponsored reception, the Shuttle will return between 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo).

January 5th:
To HARC:

  • From: Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, To: UH Hilo campus.
  • Shuttle will start at 6:15 a.m. and run every 5-7 minutes until 8:15 a.m.

To hotels:

  • 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from UH Hilo campus to the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo.

Car Rental

Hertz is the official car rental partner for the conference.  To make a reservation, follow the link below:

The link above will take you to the general Hertz reservation page with the HARC Convention Number (CV022Q9363) already filled in.  This Convention Number will get you the discounted rate for HARC.

The Hertz location for pickup is “ITO” or “Island of Hawaii, Hilo – Hilo International Airport.”

Parking on campus is free during the conference.
