Fulbright Program Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa enthusiastically supports the Fulbright Program, which was first introduced in 1945 by Senator J. William Fulbright to fund the promotion of international good will through the bilateral exchange of students in the fields of education, culture, and science. The Fulbright Program provides individuals chosen for their leadership potential with the opportunity to observe one another’s political, economic, and cultural institutions, exchange ideas, and embark on joint ventures of importance to the general welfare of the world’s inhabitants. It is a flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
