Sites

Gear Up Manoa has taken special care in choosing the schools which they serve.  There are three site locations.  The locations are Wahiawa, Hilo, and Waipahu all of which were very prominent plantation villages and towns back in the day.  These were the main places of importance when the economy of Hawaii was more based off sugar production than tourism.  The people who came into these towns to work in the plantation and built Hawaii to what it is today still remain.  The State has designated these schools as Title I meaning the 50% or greater receive free or reduced lunch, and because of this we believe that these areas are underprivileged and deserve the right and access to education and information on it, so that they may further and better themselves.

Please click on each site for more information on them.
