Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

Aloha!  Thank you for your interest in our APA-accredited, Health Service Psychology Internship.  Our program is part of the Counseling & Student Development Center (CSDC) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM).  UHM is the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi System. It is located on the island of Oʻahu, just outside of Honolulu, within Mānoa valley.

The Internship at the CSDC is a single-site, twelve month, full-time, training experience for doctoral candidates in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. Internship usually commences around August 1st. Interns are expected to complete 2000 hours of service by the end of internship.

The staff at the CSDC are committed in providing support and quality training.  There are several opportunities for training, supervision, and clinical experience.  We host a diverse, multi-cultural population, and interns find the opportunity to work with such a unique and valued student body to be one of the more enriching parts of their internship experience.

Please take some time to peruse the materials available on our website.  If you have any questions about the Internship, please feel free to contact me by email (atanouye@hawaii.edu) or phone (808) 956-7927.
