Campus Arboretum Curator

The curator oversees the records and inventory of more than 6,000 plants, coordinates the digital plant map, and is responsible for new acquisitions to diversify and enhance the campus’s living collection. The curator works closely with Landscaping Services to determine the right tree in the right place, and the right care.

Nōweo Kai is the current curator of the Campus Arboretum, following David Strauch. Notable contributors to the campus plant collection include Roxanne Adams, Richard Criley, Gerry Carr, Al Chock, Harold St. John, and Joseph Rock.
