Dr. Garcia-Ricketts received her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.  She attended residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is board eligible in General Psychiatry. 

Her clinical and research interests include reproductive mental health (including inequalities in the diagnosis and treatment of iron deficiency), psychosis, catatonia and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), as well as radically open dialectical behavior therapy (RO-DBT).
