NHSS Soft Opening & Lā Kūʻokoʻa Festivities

Aloha kākou! On behalf of the Native Hawaiian Student Services team, we would like to invite you to our soft Opening of our new space next week Tuesday in the Queen Liliʻuokalani Center for Student Services Room 113. We are celebrating the opening of the space with our partners and colleagues both in the building and across the campus, coupled with celebrating and honoring Lā Kūʻokoʻa (Hawaiian Independence Day).

Join us for mele (music) and meaʻai (food), featuring Professor Keawe Lopes and his haumāna (students) starting at 12:30 pm until about 2:30 pm in our new office.

Starting at 3:00 pm, the celebrations will continue at the Art Auditorium for two panels on Lā Kūʻokoʻa (see flyer below) as well as an artist panel at Hemenway Courtyard.

Mahalo for all your patience and support during our renovations over the summer and fall break, and for all of those who made our move and renovation possible. Hope to see you tomorrow!
