Dr. Maenette Benham receives Minority Access National Role Models Award

Dr. Maenette Benham will be honored as a Minority Access National Role Models Award at the Sixteenth National Role Models Conference and Gala, Saturday, September 26, 2015.

This prestigious award aims to identify inspirational Role Models in various categories to inspire others to emulate them, and thereby increase the pool of scholars and professionals who will find cures for illnesses or solve technological problems or address social disparities in society.

From their website: Minority Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to increasing diversity, decreasing disparities and reducing incidences of environmental injustices. Our mission is to assist colleges and universities, the Federal Government and agencies of other governments and corporations of all kinds in implementing programs and providing services to recruit, enhance and retain underserved and underrepresented populations. Minority Access has received national acclaim for its successful track record in advancing educational, research and employment opportunities through the National Role Models Project, National Role Models Conference, student internship programs, college readiness and access programs, and other enriching programs.
