HICCS is an annual conference in Honolulu, Hawai‘i where researchers of Chinese Studies can gather and share research. In addition to panel sessions, the conference will feature various tours of special library and museum collections on our campus. There are also tours around town such at the Sun Yat-sen Guided Tour that explores the rich history of Chinese people in Hawai‘i. There are ample housing options in Honolulu from hotels in Waikiki (2 miles from campus) to beachfront houses across the island.

HICCS is led by over forty experts in Chinese Studies who review paper abstracts and organize HICCS panels.
Past Conferences
The first annual HICCS was held at UH-Mānoa in January 2020. Future meetings will always be held the first week of January.
