GENERAL INFORMATION
(Updated info for the 2025-26 program will be available in early 2025.)
There are three options for student funding.
- One-Year, Full-Time Option – A full-time student enters the Project at the beginning of their specialization year (second and final year) of their MSW program. These students, who are provided one academic year of funding, shall commit to working in CWS for a minimum of two calendar years.
- Two-Year, Full Time Option – A full-time student enters the Project at the beginning of their generalist year (first year) of their MSW program and continues in the Project through graduation. These students receive a stipend from the Project for their generalist year and their specialization year. These students, who are provided two academic years of funding, shall commit to working in CWS for a minimum of three calendar years.
- Three Year, Part-Time Option (only available to current CWS staff) – Because of the challenges inherent in attending school and working full-time, there is an option for current CWS employees to participate in the Project while they are enrolled in their MSW part-time, completing all the requirements over the course of three years. These students, who are provided funding for three academic years (at a lower rate per year than the full-time students), shall commit to working in CWS for a minimum of three calendar years after graduation.
The 2024-2025 one-year stipend for students:
- Enrolled full-time is $18,000
- Enrolled part-time is $14,000 (only available to current DHS employees)
