8) Briefly explain the assessment activities that took place since November 2018.
Because of the limited amount of professors teaching at the MA level (4), the departure of one faculty (not replaced), the attendance of some professors as resident directors in Study Abroad program, the sabbaticals taken by two professors out of three, the leave of absence taken by one faculty for several semesters, the assesment process, meetings have slowed considerably. The fact that Zoom classes have replaced face-to-face classes did not help. However as the professors left (two full professors, one associate professor) have passed the cape of tenure, each professor is diligently making sure that SLOs are respected and attained in each class.

2 students defended publicly their MA thesis. One student published an article.

90% of students got a grade above B and passed the comprehensive exam etc

Because of Covid, and a momentarily program suspension, the MA program is in limbo (5 graduate students are left). The division is preparing to reopen the Ma program and is using the past findings/results to make changes in the future.
16) Beyond the results, were there additional conclusions or discoveries? This can include insights about assessment procedures, teaching and learning, and great achievements regarding program assessment in this reporting period.
The covid period has helped the program to make major changes in the future such as for instance a fusion with Pacific studies.
