8) Briefly explain the assessment activities that took place since November 2018.
Results of the USMLE Step 1 examination for JABSOM students were reviewed. This examination is taken at the end of the second year of the program.
Findings from the Graduation Objectives Survey are developed into a report and reviewed by the Curriculum Committee. The questions reflect the GLO's.
An Evaluation of the Curriculum as a Whole report was developed for the program which expands information on USMLE scores (Elements 10) and program evaluation of individual scores (Element 15).
9) What types of evidence did the program use as part of the assessment activities checked in question 7? (Check all that apply.)

13) Summarize the results from the evaluation, analysis, interpretation of evidence (checked in question 12). For example, report the percentage of students who achieved each SLO.
99% of JABSOM students received passing scores on the USMLE Step 1.
Overall, the means obtained from the Graduation Objectives Survey were in a positive direction (i.e., students reported higher means on items in the fourth year of the program in comparison to their first day of medical school).
Results can also be viewed in the Evaluation of the Curriculum as a Whole report.
14) What best describes how the program used the results? (Check all that apply.)

15) Please briefly describe how the program used its findings/results.
The medical school Curriculum Committee reviewed the results of the USMLE Step 1 examination for JABSOM students as well as the Graduation Objectives Survey findings. Overall, it was felt the scores reflected the students are well prepared for the national licensing examination and reported a greater ability, over time, towards meeting the SLOs. In addition, please refer to the Evaluation of the Curriculum as a Whole report for a summary of evaluation activities.
16) Beyond the results, were there additional conclusions or discoveries? This can include insights about assessment procedures, teaching and learning, and great achievements regarding program assessment in this reporting period.
In recent years, JABSOM students scored above the national average on the national licensing examination (USMLE Step 1). This reflects the hard work and commitment of the students, as well as structure and content of the curriculum, efforts of the faculty, and effectiveness of the program evaluation plan. Please refer to Evaluation of the Curriculum as a Whole report reflective analysis (2019-2020).
17) If the program did not engage in assessment activities, please justify.
