Our department spent most of last year totally revising the degree requirements for the Geography Major, breaking it into three streams with different requirements and different SLOs. After a  fairly quick approval by the Program Change committee, the whole prcess has been stalled by the VCAA office. We are now waiting for a number of course approvals upon which the program changes revolve so nothing can be done on working on SLOs for the major until our changes have been finalized. The different stream members have ideas on SLOs for their streams but cannot formalize them now until we learn if our changes are accepted.
