The Center for Japanese Studies offers scholarship for JASC
The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS), UHM, is offering a scholarship for a UHM student to participate in the 76th Japan-America Student Conference (JASC), August 1 – August 3, 2024 (required orientation in Los Angeles) and August 3 – 23, 2023 (JASC conference in Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Washington, DC). The Scholarship is in the amount of $3000 (cost of JASC participation fee)
[*Participation fee does not include the roundtrip airfare from Honolulu to the JASC orientation site in Los Angeles. Student is responsible for covering the round-trip airfare expense and other personal expenses.]Requirements for the Scholarship:
- UHM classified full-time undergraduate or graduate student status at the time of application and during the conference
- Evidence of high academic achievement and promise
- Submission of online application by deadline December 24, 2023 and acceptance letter to participate in JASC
How to Apply for the CJS Scholarship:
Submit a screenshot of the full JASC application by email to the Center for Japanese Studies (gay@hawaii.edu) by December 31, 2023.
Students must submit their applications directly to JASC by the deadline December 24, 2023 to qualify to participate in the conference. To waive the application fee of $20, UH-Mānoa students will use the coupon code: GoJASC- UNP22.
