Admission Requirements and Procedures

 

Museum Studies

Applicants for the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program are required to have an undergraduate degree and possess a strong interest in Museum Studies or a related subject.

ADMISSION PROCESS

The deadline for Fall admission is March 1; the deadline for Spring admission is September 1

Prospective applicants must apply for classified admission to the program through the Office Graduate Education.

If you are a current UHM graduate student who wishes to pursue a graduate certificate concurrently, download the Concurrent Graduate Certificate Program Application Form and submit it to the Office Graduate Education.

Online Application

Visit University of Hawaii Online Admission Application and follow the onscreen instructions or download an application and fee payment form.

Use the Graduate Application Documents Upload Website to submit supporting application materials:

  • Statement of Objectives form
  • Unofficial transcript(s) (Official transcript(s) must be submitted to Office of Graduate Education Student Services prior to enrolling at UHM)

Note: Applicants are also required to mail directly to the Office of Graduate Education an official transcript from each university attended.

GRE scores and two letters of recommendation for graduate certificate applicants are not required.

Financial aid is not provided for students enrolled in only the graduate certificate programs.
