The editors of the Hawaiʻi Journal of Health & Social Welfare are excited to announce that the 6th annual writing contest is now open.  Please see the attached flyer. More information can also be found at: http://hawaiijournalhealth.org/contest.htm

Submissions:
Submissions must be original research works in a health-related field with a focus on the Hawaiian Islands or the Pacific region.

Eligibility:
The contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students in public health, medical, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and dental schools programs, and also to working professionals who have recently graduated from such a program (within the past 12 months).

Prizes:
Up to three cash prizes will be awarded, in the amount of $500 each.
Winners will be eligible to have their research articles published in a future issue of the HJH&SW.

Important dates:
Contest Opens: August 17, 2020
Deadline: December 31, 2020
