Bio

Simi received her MPH degree from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Public Health from San Jose State University. In her MPH program, she concentrated in health policy and management. Her work focuses on overdose surveillance, and her research interests include substance use patterns among older adults and examining fatal overdose trends in Hawaii.
