Attending UH Manoa has helped me stay connected to the ocean and nature by getting an amazing education while still enjoying the ocean just a few miles away. I love living in Hawaiʻi because itʻs the only place in the world that I can experience crystal clear waters, amazing waterfalls, city life, and a variety of spectacular people - all the while getting my education.

It is a very diverse community - everyone here is very welcoming of everyone - no matter who you are or where youʻre from. Iʻve never felt that anywhere else in the world.

As a scholarship recipient, my college experience has been made affordable and accessible. With an eased financial burden, I was better able to focus on my studies and maintain the high GPA required of my scholarship. I was also able to strengthen my resume and became stronger applicant for my future endeavors, such as research and graduate school.

My experience in the Direct Entry Nursing program was awesome right from the start! The program helped me develop a confident, positive perspective towards my studies and allowed me to discover more about myself. The program also helped me feel connected to other student nurses. We shared experiences, created friendships and supported each other during our freshman year.

There are always opportunities on campus for you to further your knowledge in ways you previously didn’t know.

I love that Mānoa is the perfect sized university. It’s large enough to have a wide range of opportunities available, yet small enough to find groups of individuals that love the same things I do.
