This orientation, we will focus on developing three (3) important types of student connections and relationships with their 1) academic advising unit, 2) orientation leader, and a 3) student success professional. We believe by having a solid foundation from three different people will enhance a student’s connectivity and sense of belonging.
The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for otherwise qualified persons with disabilities, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended. This policy covers admission and access to, and participation, treatment, and employment in, the University's programs and activities.
As such, New Student Orientation is committed to making all online modules, weekly newsletters, in-person orientation, and resource materials accessible to students with disabilities. In response, all online modules/videos will include closed captioning and website materials/resources will be accessible via assistive technology (i.e., accessible PDFs, readers, etc.).
