Welina Mānoa - Mānoa greets us as we greet Mānoa.

As you engage with the campus, we trust that you will embrace and respect the concept of Welina Mānoa. Aligned with the Native Hawaiian value of aloha ʻāina, we live in reciprocity with the land. We strive to be cognizant of our surroundings. We strive to be knowledgeable of its history. We are respectful of all around us. We are protected by Mānoa’s cascading mountains, cooled by her winds and rains, nourished by her foods, quenched by her waters, and educated by her teachings. As Mānoa greets us in all of these amazing ways, let us pause and ask ourselves: As proud members of the UH Mānoa family, how do we reciprocate that greeting to Mānoa and tread carefully upon her to sustain this place for the generations yet to come?
