TRIO Mānoa is located in Krauss Hall room 114. Krauss Hall is located along Dole Street, across the UHM Law Library. Krauss Hall originally housed the Pineapple Research Institute (You'll notice "PRI" on the top of entranceways), which conducted much of the scientific study of the domestication of the pineapple for commercial production.

Our office is located near the large pond area in the internal portion of the complex. When you're not studying, it's a beautiful place to eat your lunch, sit quietly or hang out with friends.

TRIO Mānoa provides one-on-one academic advising, as well as personal and career information. The students at TRIO Mānoa will meet with experienced advisors at least 1 time per semester.

The office is located in room 114 Krauss Hall, across the street from Richardson Law School library. Appointments can be made via STAR Balance.

Jahanavi Priya, Director and Academic Advisor

Jahanavi Priya is a first generation college student, delighted to call herself an UH Mānoa alumni, having earned her bachelor's and master's degrees here. During her undergraduate journey she found a second family within TRIO Mānoa. As a former student and now advisor at TRIO, Jahanavi knows first hand the value in helping students navigate their academic journey. She is passionate about helping students discover college and career paths that truly speak to their passions, dreams, and happiness.

Jadelynn "Jade" Zapata, Academic Advisor (Intakes)

Jadelynn "Jade" Zapata is a proud graduate of UH Mānoa, where she graduated with a BA in Anthropology. Starting as an ambassador for TRIO Mānoa, Jade worked her way up to serve and guide students she deeply connects with, having once been in their shoes. With firsthand experience as a TRIO student, she understands the importance of mentorship and support in the college journey. Jade is passionate about assisting students in uncovering academic and career paths that align with their unique strengths and future aspirations.
