Gender Euphoria for All!

Description

Discover empowering ways to think through gender no matter your gender identity. Join a panel of trans* folks as we consider the creative power of gender euphoria and discuss lessons we can learn from the trans* experience. This workshop will discuss the basic terminology around being trans, feature an open Q&A, and provide time for participants to discuss their own experiences. This panel opens up a space for us to talk about the sometimes tricky topic of gender and the joys we experience when our gender identity lines up with our gender expression. Featuring useful terminology and concepts for all people, this panel provides a space for us to reflect more about gender expression as we bring Transgender Awareness month to a close. This event is co-sponsored by the American Studies Department and the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department.

The panel will feature Dr. Ava Ladner, Dr. Tatiana Young and Skyler Smela.

Free pizza and refreshments will be provided at the event. This event will take place November 30th from 4pm to 5:30pm in room 412 of Queen Liliʻuokalani Center (QLC).
