Dianne Lee Shen is a Ph.D. student in the American Studies Department at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She is currently a 2022 Asia Pacific Leadership Program Fellow (G20) at the East-West Center in Honolulu. Her research examines Asian American visual culture, aesthetics, and architecture in the American West and Pacific.
Prior to moving to Honolulu, she was based in the San Francisco Bay Area where she served as the collections strategist and Museum without Walls curator at the Los Altos History Museum. She has held positions at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Christie’s, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and The Broad Museum. She received her M.A. in East Asian Area Studies from the University of Southern California and B.A. in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine.
