The Osher & Crankstart Reentry Scholarships provide tuition assistance to "reentry" adult students who are returning to complete their first undergraduate degree.

General Eligibility:
Osher & Crankstart Reentry Scholarship applicants must meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria:

  • This scholarship is open to UH Mānoa undergraduates ideally between the ages of 25-50. Key is the donors' intent to benefit students who anticipate participation in the workforce for a significant period of time subsequent to graduation.
  • Applicant must have a gap of at least five (5) years between high school-to-college enrollment OR a five year cumulative gap in their college education.
  • Be either: a newly admitted reentry student to UH Mānoa (including community college transfer students); or a currently enrolled UH Mānoa undergraduate.
  • Must be an enrolled, classified UH Mānoa student working towards a first bachelor’s degree.
  • Must demonstrate financial need. Applicants are encouraged to file a FAFSA. Those filing FAFSA will be given priority consideration.
  • Must demonstrate the potential to succeed in his or her course of study (2.5 minimum gpa).
  • May be either a full-time (12 or more credits) or part-time (6 credits minimum) enrolled student.
    • The Osher Reentry Scholarship is not available for:
      • International students (U.S. Permanent Residents are eligible)
      • Students enrolled exclusively in online courses.
