Reflections and words of wisdom from Alumni

“The networking you’re given through your work environment is invaluable. Whether through a casual conversation with a peer or with an in-depth heart-to-heart with your supervisor, do not be afraid of forming a relationship with the people around you. Just as we help others, others are there to help us, and what better people to find comfort in, than those who were trained for that role in particular? So take the chance to build and solidify these connections because it is these very connections that will stay with you forever.”

Reflections and words of wisdom from Alumni

“MPA and the Honors Program gave me the self-knowledge necessary to be more certain in who I was. This certainty gave me the confidence to personally challenge myself and broaden my horizons. While the turtle-lion and MBTI exercises do not loom large in our everyday lives, I think it is important to look at them as more than fun activities that passed the time. I would argue that they hold the keys to making the most of one’s time in college and leading a life that is professionally and personally fulfilling.”
