OLA Math and Science tutors are University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa students majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We provide tutoring support to currently enrolled students in:

Math

• MATH 100, 111, 112, 134, 140X, 161
• MATH 215, 216, 241, 242, 243, 244

chemistry

• CHEM 100, 131, 161, 162, 272, 273

biology
• BIO 101, 171, 172, 220, 275 and related labs

physics

• PHYS 100, 151, 152, 170, 272 and related labs

other

Some tutors provide tutoring for other subjects and course levels. For example:
OLA engineering tutors can tutor Calculus IV, Physics III, and other Engineering courses (ECE 160, 211, 213).
OLA biochemistry tutors can tutor Organic Chemistry II, Cell and Molecular Biology, and more.

What is OLA?



Our Mission

The Online Learning Academy provides online peer tutoring for students enrolled in lower division gateway classes to increase course completion.



COMPLETELY FREE!

The Online Learning Academy (OLA) is a program at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa that provides free math and science tutoring to UH Mānoa undergraduate students. Students can schedule up to two free appointments per week on STAR Balance.

OLA tutors are current UH Mānoa undergraduate students who have excelled in their respective courses. While tutors are proficient in their course material, they are not replacements for instructors. Please double check any information with your instructor and course material.
