LHRC Blog

Aloha mai kāua! Welcome to the Native Hawaiian Student Services Lāhui Hawaiʻi Research Center blog. This site features short writings on various research topics that Kanaka students and scholars are engaging. We are kicking off our blog with pieces from our ʻŌiwi Undergraduate Research Fellows.

The NHSS ʻŌiwi Undergraduate Research Fellowship pairs Native Hawaiian undergraduate students with faculty in their department or field to learn important research skills while exploring issues important to the lāhui. This program aligns with our mission to “prepare Hawaiian students to build upon a legacy of excellence, with creativity and confidence, in order to filfill the kuleana of their time.” Please enjoy the work of our amazing students!
